The President of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, DeAnnia Clements considers safety a major responsibility of all members of the college community. Under President Clements' leadership, we strive to provide the safest working and learning conditions possible to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. To that end, Safety and Risk Management programs have been developed to establish an environmentally safe framework on the college's four major campuses, as well as other operating locations. The objectives of the programs are the reduction and/or elimination of accidents, unsafe conditions, unsafe work practices, and unnecessary suffering.
Members of leadership at the college recognize that the prevention of accidental injury and exposures, and accidental property damage or destruction on campuses will only be successful with support from the administration; adequate action, coordination and advice from faculty and staff; and willing cooperation and participation from the student body. Therefore, every member of the college community is expected to perform their tasks in a safe, technically competent, and efficient manner.
